Joey Dancing!!!

I'm a little biased, but this is so stinkin cute :) Sorry if it's jumpy, but I couldn't stop lauging!

If you are checking this post on Facebook or through email, you may not be able to see the video above...click here to visit my actual blog :) You don't want to miss this!!

Christmas Decorations Are Up :)

The time has come and the decorations are up :)  Here's a sneak peak of what our home looks like during the Christmas season!

Here is our tree in all it's glory :)  This sweet little tree was bought for me by my mommy 7 years ago...It has served me and now the Stout family very well!  Every year we pull out the tree and say we need to get another one because it's loosing it's umph.  Instead of buying another tree this year we just threw up another strand of lights and voila....it will live to see another day :)  Underneath we have a Veggietales Nativity that my friend Laurie gave me a million years ago!  Joey has already loved playing with it, and we are really talking up the story of Jesus' birth this year!  Jo is a smart girl and she will repeat Jesus when you say it..so cute!!!

These are our stockings :)  We don't have a mantle, so we just hang them in between the windows...Santa can still find them hanging on the wall right?!?

This is our stair rail wrapped in garland!  The stockings are silver ware holders that my mom got for me from Crate and Barrel one year...we don't have too many fancy Christmas dinners at our house, so I just strapped them onto the garland :)

I got these bells from my Grandmother I believe!  It is fun to hear them jingle as the door opens...makes me happy!!!

Here is our Christmas Card holder...just waiting for some cards :)

I collect Nutcrackers :)  Here are some that live in our kitchen during Christmas!!

These are the Irish, German, and American Nutcrackers :)  They represent us :)

This nutcracker is about 2 feet tall and is sitting at the top of our stairs.  Joey says Hi and Bye to it every morning, afternoon, night....basically anytime we walk by him!  She even gave him a kiss the other night :)

I just love Christmas!  Not only for the festivities and the way our house looks, but because it is the celebration of the birth of our Savior!!    He came to die for all who have sinned, meaning every one of us!  AMAZING!!!!!!!!  Tis the season....I hope everyone has a great holiday season!

Thanksgiving 2009!!!

Thanksgiving was great this year as usual!  We had some conflicting times with the families, so we decided to spend most of the time at my mom's house since my cousins and aunt and uncle we in town!  We had a blast hanging out at the house, playing in the yard, eating good food and fellowshipping with everyone!  Here are some pics from our Thanksgiving this year!

Here is Joey and McKenzie....Kenzie played with Joey all weekend and was a huge help!  She even let Joey play with her American Girl dolls!  Joey just latched on to her and they had a blast!

Here's my mom and my cousin Paige cooking I'm sure :)  Everything tasted so delicious!

We got a little stir crazy, so everyone went outside to play!

Then next day we took the fam to play Top Golf!  It was so much fun and everyone had a great time!  Linds, Sam and Tyler played putt putt while Johnny, Buddy, Uncle Don and I played Top Golf!  Here's a pic of Johnny about ready to go!  If you have never been to this place, you need to go...it is so much fun!

This is my cousin Lindsay...she's 30 weeks preggo!!!  We are Top Golf PROS!

Thanksgiving wouldn't be complete with a stop at Grandma's (Johnny's Mom's House) for some Turkey soup!!!  So good...she makes her own noodles and everything!  Joey loved it :)  I didn't get a picture of the soup or anything, but I did get this picture of Joey...pretty sure she was sitting in daddy's lap trying to get into mine for some reason!

And that's how our Thanksgiving went....fun as usual!  What a great kickoff to the holiday season!!

12 Weeks....28 To Go!!

So here we are at 12 weeks...the 1st trimester is coming to an end, and I can totally tell a difference in the way I feel!  Here is the update for the week along with belly pics :)  I hope everyone has a great Thanksgiving and takes the time to thank God who gives us everything we have!!!

This is me with Joey at 12 weeks.  So glad I don't have braces this time around!!

And here I am with Stout Seed # 2 at 12 weeks :)  Where did that hip bone go from the picture above??  HMMMM?!?

And on with the Update...

How your baby's growing (12 Weeks):

The most dramatic development this week: reflexes. Your baby's fingers will soon begin to open and close, his toes will curl, his eye muscles will clench, and his mouth will make sucking movements. In fact, if you prod your abdomen, your baby will squirm in response, although you won't be able to feel it. His intestines, which have grown so fast that they protrude into the umbilical cord, will start to move into his abdominal cavity about now, and his kidneys will begin excreting urine into his bladder.

Meanwhile, nerve cells are multiplying rapidly, and in your baby's brain, synapses are forming furiously. His face looks unquestionably human: His eyes have moved from the sides to the front of his head, and his ears are right where they should be. From crown to rump, your baby-to-be is just over 2 inches long (about the size of a lime) and weighs half an ounce.

Doctor, Wedding and Thanksgiving...Oh My

So yesterday I had a doctor's appointment :)  I weighed in at 102.2 lbs, and we got to hear the baby's heartbeat.  it was measured at 167 beats per minute.  The tech asked me what we have already and I said "a girl".  She said based on the speed of the heartbeat it might just be another girl!  This really does not do my previous prediction justice.  Oh well, I guess only time will tell!  My doctor said everything looked good and she was glad I was feeling better.  Last week was a huge turning point as far as how I felt.  It's refreshing to get in a car and NOT get carsick!  I'm hoping the sickness is gone for good!!!  I go back the week of Christmas for another heartbeat hearing, and we get to find out the sex of Stout Seed # 2 in January!  I can't wait!

On to other news...Thanksgiving week is here and I am so stoked!  I am gaining a new brother in law today!!  Ricky and Vicky are getting married in Hawaii today on the beach at sunset :)  I'm sad I don't get to be there, but am so thankful to welcome a new family member into our clan :)  Are you ready for that Ricky?!?

I'm also excited because we get to see my cousins Paige, Buddy, Tyler, McKenzie, Lindsay, Sam, and Maddux...well, Maddux is still cooking in Linds, but we get to rub that preggo belly, and I can't wait!!!  My Aunt Paula and Uncle Don are also coming, and it's always fun to see them over the holiday too!  I'm especially excited to take everyone to Top Golf! Johnny and I love this place!  It's so much fun, and if you are a golfer, even if you aren't a golfer, you would love it!  It's like a driving range with targets :)  If you have never been to this place, it's a blast, and you need to go!

I have so much to be thankful for this year, and I'm just so excited!  I hope everyone has a great Thanksgiving holiday, and really takes the time to thank God for what he has so generously given us!

3 Years in the Making :)

So for those of you who follow me on twitter or check my facebook status' religiously, this will be semi old news, but for the vast majority who don't keep up with those silly things, here goes :)

November 19th Johnny and I celebrated our 3 year Aniversary.  Just a little back story...Last year Johnny suprised me with a day off from work for our 2nd Anni...he planed the whole thing, got me subs and everything.  We had a great day and decided to continue the tradition this year with a twist!  The twist being that it was no longer a suprise and I was responsible for getting the day off and finding my own subs at work :)  It all worked out and here's how the day went...

We woke up around 8:30 (thank you Joey for sleeping in :) and got Joey ready for Miss Holli's house.  Johnny and I stayed in our flannel pants and long sleeved shirts and slip on shoes all day :)  We took Jos to Holli's and hung out there for a bit, then we left and had yummy breakfast at Bill Smith's Cafe!  This place is so delicious :)  Johnny got a Taco Omlet and I got some pancakes, BACON (which I have been super craving for some reason...ehem Stout Seed # 2), and hash browns!  I finished the bacon, and most of the other 2 things!  Yummo!

Then we went home and just hung out on the couch and got caught up!  It was fun to have nothing to do...no pressure to be anywhere, or a time limit on just being because nap time was almost over...it was nice!  We decided to play the Wii :)  Johnny pretty much beat me at everything, but we had a blast!  Here's Johnny bowling...check out that form :)

After some bowling, tennis, golf and more, we headed to the movie theatre to see Couple's Retreat.

We had heard awful things, but we love Vince Vaughn and decided to go for it.  With popcorn in hand, we walked into a completely empty theatre :)  We laughed, and talked throughout the movie because we could...one of the perks of having an empty movie theatre!  Anyway, despite the reviews, we liked the movie a lot!  If you like Vince Vaughn, you too will like it!

After the movie we went to pick up Joey, I went to choir rehearsal, then came home to eat some dinner.

After dinner we went to Target to shop for our Christmas Angel from church.  We were able to get him some really good stuff, and I am excited to know that he will get to open some fun things for Christmas!

Last but not least, we put Jo to sleep and watched Transformers 2 to end the evening. It was good, and so was the day!  I'm so glad we started this tradition last year and can't wait to keep it going for may years to come!

Wishful Wednesday!

'I wish' .... my life was a movie, and I would want it to be ______ genre!
(and tell us why)

Would you want action, adventure, comedy, drama, romance, family, OR suspense??  AND a lil' bit of everything isn't an option because that is too easy!

This is a fun topic from Kelsey over at the Seattle Smith's :)  I just had to participate!

'I wish' .... my life was a movie, and I would want it to be the romantic genre!

Any type of romance really, I love sappy to comedic, to uncomfortable and awkward!  One of my all time favorite movies is Dirty Dancing :)  Check out this cool post about living in Dirty Dancing from Design Sponge!  I realize watching this movie now that I had no idea what all was going on when I was younger.  It's a bit risque, but I love it!

I also LOVE the movie Big with Tom Hanks!  That dude had a trampoline in his loft for goodness sake!  I always cry at the end, but Josh Baskin does the right thing when he goes back to being a kiddo!

Another great one is 27 Dresses!!!!  So fun, flirty, and fabulous :)

The list could go on and on, but I'll spare you the details and stop here :)  So yeah, for me.....ROMANCE movies of any kind would be so fun to live out!  What do you think?  Head over to Kelsey's Blog, copy her Wishful Wednesday Button and write your own blog entry!!  Then link up on her blog :)  Have a great Wednesday everyone!

11 Weeks and 29 To Go :)

So we are at 11 weeks with Stout Seed # 2. Above is a belly pic of me with Joey and below is a belly pic with # 2!  I chose to do the same pose so that you could be the full effect :)

I know I didn't do a tight shirt for Stout Seed # 2's pic, but it's cool, I'm sure he/she will understand one day :)  I feel bigger than I did with Jo, but only the scale will tell :)  Here is the update for week 11 from Baby Center.

How your baby's growing (Week 11):

Your baby, just over 1 1/2 inches long and about the size of a fig, is now almost fully formed. Her hands will soon open and close into fists, tiny tooth buds are beginning to appear under her gums, and some of her bones are beginning to harden.

She's already busy kicking and stretching, and her tiny movements are so effortless they look like water ballet. These movements will become more frequent as her body grows and becomes more developed and functional. You won't feel your baby's acrobatics for another month or two — nor will you notice the hiccupping that may be happening now that her diaphragm is forming.

See what your baby looks like this week.

I have a doctor's appointment before the next weekly update / belly pic!  Please pray for a great visit!  We are super excited to hear the heartbeat, and I can't wait to see how much I weigh now :)  That's it for now!  Everyone have a great rest of the week!

Happy Birthday Emma!!

Friday Night we went to our friend Emma's 1 year old birthday party.  We had a blast playing with all the balloons, eating the amazing food, and hanging with great friends!  Here are a few pics :)

Joey was all about giving Emma kisses and hugs...she finally snuck up on Emma and layed one on her :)

Here is Joey vacuuming :)  She loved this thing and even fought Madison for it....Let me just say it wasn't her shining moment.  I did catch this on film though so that we can prove to her one day that she does in fact love to push the vacuum :)

Here are the boys playing with all the balloons!  They were having a blast....who knew what a few balloons could do for a room full of kids :)

This was amazing...Kelli was so in the danger zone!  All the kids were running around, flinging themselves on the floor, kicking the balloons, and more.......It was awesome!  Check out the look on her face :)  I love you Kelli!!!

Emma loved the cake, and rightfully so...it was amazing!!  She had to grab a bite :)

Present time is always fun...Joey was all about the babies that Emma got, and I'm surprised we got out of their house without a fit for one of the babies!!

That's pretty much it :)  Thanks Tony and Isabel for having us over for food and fun!  We had a blast, and I'm glad we could share this day with ya'll!  Happy Birthday Emma!!

10 Weeks...Only 30 To Go :)

So I promised myself that at 10 weeks I would start adding belly pics to my blog.  I found all the one's from Joey's pregnancy and will be doing a side by side for as long as I can so that we (mainly me :) can track the difference!  I'm also going to accompany these pics with the Baby Center description of what's going on in there so that everyone can follow along on this little journey :)  So here goes, the first belly pic...dun dun duuuuuu...

Here I am with Joey @ 10 weeks...remember those braces people??  Johnny and I used to joke that when Jo finally came they were going to pull me aside after the birth and say something like..."You need to finish High School honey, it's really important for you and your baby!"  They didn't, but we joked still :)

Here I am with Stout Seed # 2 @ 10 weeks. Same shorts as above, but look how that belly is already sticking out more!  Can you believe it?  I even resorted to wearing preggo pants last night because I wanted to be comfy at the hockey game.  No braces this time around, so that's good!

So from here on out, we watch the belly grow!  This is just crazy folks! Now on with the "What's happening in your body at 10 weeks" thing from Baby Center...

How your baby's growing (10 Weeks):

Though he's barely the size of a kumquat — a little over an inch or so long, crown to bottom — and weighs less than a quarter of an ounce, your baby has now completed the most critical portion of his development. This is the beginning of the so-called fetal period, a time when the tissues and organs in his body rapidly grow and mature.

He's swallowing fluid and kicking up a storm. Vital organs — including his kidneys, intestines, brain, and liver (now making red blood cells in place of the disappearing yolk sac) — are in place and starting to function, though they'll continue to develop throughout your pregnancy.

If you could take a peek inside your womb, you'd spot minute details, like tiny nails forming on fingers and toes (no more webbing) and peach-fuzz hair beginning to grow on tender skin.

In other developments: Your baby's limbs can bend now. His hands are flexed at the wrist and meet over his heart, and his feet may be long enough to meet in front of his body. The outline of his spine is clearly visible through translucent skin, and spinal nerves are beginning to stretch out from his spinal cord. Your baby's forehead temporarily bulges with his developing brain and sits very high on his head, which measures half the length of his body. From crown to rump, he's about 1 1/4 inches long. In the coming weeks, your baby will again double in size — to nearly 3 inches.

And there you have it folks...week 10 in a nutshell :)  Have a great weekend everyone!

Wishful Wednesday

This week's topic:

'I wish' .... I never had to do _______ again!

What is the one chore/task you wish a fairy would wave a wand over and wha-la, it's done for you!

Let me preface this by saying that this super fun topic comes from my friend Kelsey who I used to work with back in the day!  We rocked parties at The Gymnastics Place if I do say so myself!  Now we are all grown up with hubbies, homes and it's just crazy how time flies!  Check out Kelsey's blog and have fun posting and answering the same question on your blog!

Now onto the task at hand...I wish I never had to do LAUNDRY again!  I am great at putting clothes in their proper bin for sorting.  I am great at putting the clothes in the washer...I am not so good at remembering to transfer them to the dryer, and I LOATH putting clothes away!

Maybe if my laundry room looked like this I would be motivated??

Or what about this one??

Instead mine looks like this at this very moment...

I'm not even ashamed, it's who I am :)  These are all clean clothes minus the towel and bibs on the top of the dryer!

So uh yeah, no more laundry!!

It Has to be a BOY!!!

For those of you who haven't talked to me lately, you don't know that I am totally convinced we are having a boy.  I could be completely wrong, but here are my reasons, and I'm stickin to em until I see a sonogram showing me differently!

  • With Joey I was NEVER sick!
  • With Stout Seed # 2 I get "carsick" everyday around 1ish...sometimes it's managable, but other times I've had to leave work even :(
  • With Joey I had great skin
  • With Stout Seed # 2 I have the skin of a 13 year old boy...there should really be an age limit on zits!!!
  • With Joey, the hair on my legs stopped growing and it started growing out of my neck...we would lovinigly refer to this phenomenon as "Teen Wolf"
  • With Stout Seed # 2  Teen Wolf isn't here and my leg hair still grows...much to my husband's dismay :)
  • With Joey I wasn't really craving specific food, and had no aversions to specific food
  • With Stout Seed # 2  I want French Fries, Okra..that's right, I said Okra, Granola Bars...really anything starchy....I am NOT liking ground turkey...blech...and I usually love ground turkey!  I hope this doesn't affect Thanksgiving!
  • With Joey my hair went from Oily to dry.  I only had to wash it every other day
  • With Stout Seed # 2 my hair is Oily by the end of the day and I have to wash it every day
The list could go on and on, but I will spare you the details...the only thing I know is that this is a BOY, and if it's not, they I will be totally suprised.  I will be happy either way, boy or girl, I just can't wait to have another baby to hold and snuggle, and love!!

Speaking of someone to hold and snuggle and love, here is a pic of little Miss Joey holding one of her favorite babies (who is almost as big as her) Caroline, or as Joey says "Teroline".  So cute!  And yes folks, this is Caroline's real hair!!  Isn't she a cutie??

PS...no cars were moving in this picture...Joey had just been buckled in and let Holli know she wanted to hold Caroline!  Holli is so sweet and let her.  Joey made sure that Holli was not helping!

9 Weeks Along :)

So if you are preggo, I totally recommend this website www.babycenter.com. My friend Amanda turned me onto this site when I was preggo with Joey, and I have been hooked ever since. You type in your due date, or even your child's birthday, and it gives you weekly emails about how your child is developing, things other kids their age are doing, and more! Johnny and I are constantly in awe of what our Lord is doing inside of my belly, so I thought I could give you a little insight :) Here is the email I got today from Baby Center...enjoy!

How your baby's growing (9 Weeks):

Your new resident is nearly an inch long — about the size of a grape — and weighs just a fraction of an ounce. She's starting to look more and more human. Her essential body parts are accounted for, though they'll go through plenty of fine-tuning in the coming months. Other changes abound: Your baby's heart finishes dividing into four chambers, and the valves start to form — as do her tiny teeth. The embryonic "tail" is completely gone. Your baby's organs, muscles, and nerves are kicking into gear. The external sex organs are there but won't be distinguishable as male or female for another few weeks. Her eyes are fully formed, but her eyelids are fused shut and won't open until 27 weeks. She has tiny earlobes, and her mouth, nose, and nostrils are more distinct. The placenta is developed enough now to take over most of the critical job of producing hormones. Now that your baby's basic physiology is in place, she's poised for rapid weight gain.

Joey and Spoon

Joey is all about the spoon these days! Here she goes :)

Halloween

So last night was Joey's 2nd Halloween. Last year she basically sat in a stroller and looked cute in her lady bug costume! This year she was out in full force, trick or treating and all! We started out the night at Aunt Lisa and Uncle Bret's house for some chili and fellowship! Once everyone arrived and was fed, we hit the pavement. Joey only went to a couple of doors, and after a few dud candy houses, Johnny insisted that everyone next year put up a sign saying what kind of candy they were handing out so we don't waste our time on "tootsie roll" houses :) Here are some pics :)

this is Johnny and Joey after the first house we let her go up to..she was so excited!!!

Here's a closeup of her costume....she was a giraffe this year!

.....and another

Our friend Madison had to go potty, so we stopped for a family picture photo op in front of some pumpkins!

Once we got back to Bret and Lisa's house we put Jo in her PJ's and let her hold baby Hannah. Joey loves babies, even though most of them are about her size! Isn't Hannah the cutest bumble bee ever??

At this point she was over holding Hannah :)

Johnny practicing for Stout Seed # 2

These are our great friends the Brandon, and Amanda, and their 2 girls Madison and Baby Hannah. They have come Trick or Treating with us for the past 2 years!

The girls....Joey wanted the baby again at this point!!

The dads handling the situation!

All in all it was a fun night! Joey was so cute walking up to houses! She loved looking in her bucket even though she didn't really understand what was in it. We may give her some candy, but really it's for me and Johnny :) That's right folks, we pimped out our child for candy and we aren't afraid to say it! When we got home at 9p, Joey crashed and so did we!
