17 weeks...23 To Go :)

So Christmas Festival and Christmas celebrations are finally over (well, we still have 1 more Christmas in Pottsborro this Sunday, so it's not over, but pretty much over :), and it never fails, I go and go and go and I always make myself sick.  This I'm sure was magnified by the fact I have a beach ball growing in my belly!  I've had this snot issue for about 2 weeks now and I can't shake it!

Other than that, week 17 brings some cool things too like more movement from Stout Seed # 2....this little baby is a mover and a groover, I'm already being uncomfortable crossing my legs because my belly is growing which could sound like a bad thing but it just encourages me that everything is going well, loving Joey more and more..she's getting so big, and realizing even more that I have an amazing husband who loves the Lord, me, his daughter, and new seed very much! Ahhhhh, with pregnancy also comes emotions, and I guess I'm in a sort of sappy mood :)  On with the belly pics and news....

This little ditty is me with Joey at 17 weeks!  I remember loving this week because people could actually tell I was pregnant!  So much fun!

Here I am with Stout Seed # 2 at 17 weeks.  Please forgive the quality of the photo, but my camera is in the shop, and this was taken on the trusty old iPhone!! I am also wearing my new hat from Santa or maybe this is what I got from Joey???  I can't remember!!!  Either way, I love this hat :)

On with the news from Baby Center:

How your baby's growing (17 Weeks):

Your baby's skeleton is changingfrom soft cartilage to bone, and the umbilical cord — her lifeline to the placenta — is growing stronger and thicker. Your baby weighs 5 ounces now (about as much as a turnip), and she's around 5 inches long from head to bottom. She can move her joints, and her sweat glands are starting to develop.

Wishful Wednesday

'I wish' .... Santa would have remembered _____ was on my list!

Kelsey over at the Seattle Smith's poses this question on today's Wishful Wednesday...Although we are thankful for all of the gifts received as well as the most important gift, time shared with loved ones ....., she wonders what would that one last gift be that you mentioned you wanted and wished was still under the tree??  Feel free to play along and link back to Kelsey's Blog with your entry!

'I wish' .... Santa would have remembered UGG Boots were on my list!

I know it's not very realistic to ask Santa for Uggs.....I mean he doesn't just have crazy funds lying around, but this is WISHFUL Wednesday right ? :)  Anywho, by all the posts about Christmas you can tell that we were not without!  I'll just keep wishing on these bad boys :)

Joey's 1st Snow...

So Joey was asleep or sick or something when it snowed on Christmas Eve, so when it started to snow today, we had to bundle her up and go out and play :)

Who doesn't Love a Roller Skating Party???

So Sunday we went down to the Thunderbird Roller Skating Rink in Plano for Jackie and Bret's birthday Party!  Who doesn't love 80's music and Quad skates??  I am not super confidant in my skating abilities while preggo, and Joey is a bit young, so we had fun walking around the rink and watching Daddy show off his moves! Here are some pics...

Daddy got in trouble after carrying Jo around the rink while he was skating!  Oh well....

Go Mily Go!!

Lisa is all about at theme party...These are actual clothes from the 80's!

Pretty sure Joey thought she was actually skating :)

It's not a skating party without the Hokey Pokey!!

And last but not least, my new favorite family photo!

Thanks for having a super cool party Bret and Jackie!!

Christmas 2009 :)

We had a blast at Joey 2nd Christmas!  Santa brought her a cool new kitchen, and a basketball goal.  She got lots of great toys and more, and we are not even done!  We still have to go to Papa Ray and Grandma's up north!  Here are a few pics of Christmas so far....

Joey and her new Kitchen

Yay, Basketball :)

Play Doh is so much fun!

A Tea Set :)

Let's finish up the night with a photo shoot!!!

16 Weeks and 24 To Go!

So this week I am feeling great :)  I am feeling big, but great :)  On with the pics...

Here I am with JoJo in my belly at 16 weeks...we were in Las Vegas!  Johnny and I had planned one last hoorah before we actually had a physical child.  This was an awesome trip!  We spent a ridiculous amount of time in Vegas, but got to do a lot of things...we went to Blue Man Group and Phantom of the Opera, went shopping, walked and walked and walked, and more!  It was fun to get away, and by the end of our trip we were well rested and ready to get home!!

Here I am with Stout Seed # 2 on Christmas Eve Eve :)  No trips planned this time except those up and down highway 75.  The Christmas festivities start tomorrow, and we will be in the car for a lot of it!  I'm so excited to see what Joey gets for Christmas and how she reacts to all the fun things :)  We have started teaching her about the Christmas story and she can totally say "Jesus"!!  She's stinkin cute :)

Here's the Baby Center news on Seed # 2 :)

How your baby's growing (week 16):

Get ready for a growth spurt. In the next few weeks, your baby will double his weight and add inches to his length. Right now, he's about the size of an avocado: 4 1/2 inches long (head to rump) and 3 1/2 ounces. His legs are much more developed, his head is more erect than it has been, and his eyes have moved closer to the front of his head. His ears are close to their final position, too. The patterning of his scalp has begun, though his locks aren't recognizable yet. He's even started growing toenails. And there's a lot happening inside as well. For example, his heart is now pumping about 25 quarts of blood each day, and this amount will continue to increase as your baby continues to develop.

I hope this finds you all well, and I hope you have the Merriest Christmas ever!!

Ob Check Up Today!

So today I had a check up at my Ob's office!  Can I just tell you how much I love Dr. Sarah Roberts??  She's so much fun, super relatable and tells you like it is!  If you are in need of a good Ob, let me know! Enough about that.....

Onto the check up.

Today I weighed in at a whopping 103.8 lbs.  I gained 8 oz since my last appointment :)  Apparently my pee test was good enough to not say anything about and my blood pressure was good too once the machine decided to cooperate and actually take my blood pressure!  We headed back to the room to hear the heartbeat of our little Stout Seed # 2.  I told the nurse that this baby is active.  I really don't remember feeling Joey move this early...maybe she did and I thought it was gas or something??  Anywho, I told her this baby was active, she said ok and put the doppler on my tummy to find our peanut and get that heartbeat!

(This is the fetal doppler.  The put goo on the end of the stick and place it on your belly to hear the baby's heartbeat)

We got the heartbeat right away, but then we would hear a thud, then the heartbeat, then a thud.  The bambino was movin and groovin!  She said "Wow, this baby is active!" My suspicion confirmed!  The baby's heartbeat was 163 beats per minute which is in "girl" range the nurse said.  I visited with my doc, and went on my way!  I set up my next Ob appointment on January 18th.  It is then when we get to find out the sex of the baby....I'm praying that this one cooperates as well as Joey did!  I'm really wanting to find out if it's a boy or a girl!

That's it for now folks.  I'll keep you posted on any upcoming news :)

Big Girl Bed and Big Girl Panties :)

So our little munchkin is growing quicker than I care to imagine!

Ever since we found out about Stout Seed # 2, Johnny and I decided that we were moving Joey into her Big Girl room over Johnny's Christmas break from school.  We have been getting it ready for a while and playing in it for a while too.  She has cute bedding, decorations on the walls, toys in the bins, books on the shelves, a step stool to get in her bed, and a chest of drawers!  The one thing we were lacking was a night light of some sort.  We wanted something like what she had in her crib, so we set out to Target and bought this super cool projector music thing for Joey's room.

As far as Joey is concerned, this toy and toilets that flush themselves are the 2 scariest things on earth :)  We turned it on for Nap # 1 and she freaked!  We thought it was just cause she was in her big girl bed for the first time, so we tried it again that night and she freaked out again!  We tried to just play with it the next day and she would push the buttons just fine, but anytime the projector would come on, she would dive into our laps and get scared!  So crazy.  So we decided to try her next nap sans projector and voila!  She is now a pro at sleeping in her Big Girl Bed!  We just tuck her in, read her a few stories, turn on her Lullaby CD (she's still listening to it Aunt Patti!), give kisses, say night night and it's off to dream land!  Who knew that a toy could cause such terror??  We have 2 weeks to get her used to her room and that way, when baby sister or brother comes in June, Joey doesn't feel like she has been kicked out of her room, and her bed for some person she's never met :(

Onto the Potty Training :)

Since she was 15 months, she has been frequently asking us to go potty.  We put her on the potty, and sometimes she goes, sometimes she doesn't.  We haven't worried too much about it since she was so young and still is!  It is a tradition in the Stout family to get socks and undies in your stocking for Christmas, so we decided that we would get Joey some panties this year.  We weren't really thinking we would potty train our little one over Johnny's Christmas break, but we got those little panties home and just decided to go for it!

We washed em up and the next day after Joey's nap, we went on our way...literally, we went to Grandma's...no diaper on that tiny hiny......or as Jo would say "no biaper". She did great and had no accidents!  We were over there for about 5 hours :) Go Joey!!!  We headed home and went potty, and put that hiny in a diaper for night night time!  Today was a little different story, but she still had many victories!  She had 1 #1 accident and 1 #2 accident.  I'd say that's pretty good for a 20 month old!  Tomorrow she comes to work with me for a bit, and I just know I'm gonna be paranoid the whole time.  I'm sure she'll be fine, but I'm just saying!

I will post pics of Joey's room when I am done with one final project!  Stay tuned :)

Santa's Village

So after reading an old friend's blog, I remembered I wanted to go to this place in Richardson with Joey!  It's called Santa's Village, and it is so much fun for the little ones :)  There were something like 18 little houses that you could go to.  One was for writing letters to Santa, one was to see Santa, and more!  I was sicky last week, but it was the last weekend of the village, so we grinned, bared it, and went with Nonny, Dedecek, Aunt Vicky, Uncle Ricky, Amanda, Brandon, Hannah, and Madison in tow.  It was a lot of fun, and I can't wait to go next year when Joey's a bit older and has a baby brother or sister who can go too :)  Here are some pics of the evening!

Here's Joey writing her letter to Santa..she liked the stamps and the colors..she didn't do so much of the writing :)  After the kids write their letter, they get to put it in the mailbox where they will deliver it to Santa himself!!

This was at the Beary Good hospital where the kids got to be measured and weighed.  They also got these really annoying...uh I mean fun noise makers at this house!

This was the symphony house where the girls got to play instruments.  It was so loud in this house, and the 2 young men who were working in the house said they had to be there for 2 hours...I don't think I could do that!

Here is Brandon holding Madison, and Johnny holding Joey....they were window shopping...these windows were filled with "jewelry".  These girls are definitely girls, and daddy's girls at that!

These polar bears moved...it was cute

Here are the girls giving a big cheesy grin!

Family Photo Op..Joey got the cookie she's holding from Mrs. Clause herself!

And here's Joey in the Reindeer Barn. They painted a red dot on her nose and gave us reindeer food as we left (aka hay).

And that was it!  Super fun :)  It was a little cold, but it was so worth it!  We will surely head back next year!  Merry Christmas!

Bare With Me, I'm a Few Posts Behind...

So we took Joey to her 18 month doctor's appointment, and by we I mean Johnny, about 2 months ago :)  Here is the update on how our little pumpkin is a growin'...........

Weight = 22.2 lbs (15th %ile)
Height = 30 inches (6th %ile and also more than half my size!)
Head Circumference = 18 1/4 inches (40th %ile)

So as you can see, this little lady is destined to be a shortie like her mommy!  They say that their head will grow then her height and weight will catch up...let's hope so or she's gonna be way  disproportioned   :)  I will love her anyway!

15 Weeks....Only 25 To Go :)

So I'm a day late on this post because I haven't been feeling well :(  My head feels full, and I have no idea where all this snot is coming from!  Anywho, other than that I have been feeling great baby wise!  Pretty sure I felt Stout Seed # 2 flutter around the other day, so that was really cool!  I have an appointment on Tuesday to hear the heartbeat and to set up an appointment to find out the sex of the baby.  That appointment won't be until January, so we are about 5 weeks from finding out if Stout Seed # 2 is a boy or a girl!  Once it gets closer we will talk names people!  We are excited to start calling this little bundle by name!  I really enjoyed when we got to start calling Joey by name...it made it more real!  So that's what's going on, here's the Belly Pics and the Baby Center news!

Me with Joey in my belly at 15 weeks :)  That's a sassy pic if I do say so myself!!

Here's me with Stout Seed # 2....not feeling so well, that's why I have the scarf and the sad look, but needless to say, I am happy to be carrying Stout Seed # 2, so that's a plus :)

How your baby's growing (Week 15):

Your growing baby now measures about 4 inches long, crown to rump, and weighs in at about 2 1/2 ounces (about the size of an apple). She's busy moving amniotic fluid through her nose and upper respiratory tract, which helps the primitive air sacs in her lungs begin to develop. Her legs are growing longer than her arms now, and she can move all of her joints and limbs. Although her eyelids are still fused shut, she can sense light. If you shine a flashlight at your tummy, for instance, she's likely to move away from the beam. There's not much for your baby to taste at this point, but she is forming taste buds. Finally, if you have an ultrasound this week, you may be able to find out whether your baby's a boy or a girl! (Don't be too disappointed if it remains a mystery, though. Nailing down your baby's sex depends on the clarity of the picture and on your baby's position. He or she may be modestly curled up or turned in such a way as to "hide the goods.")

Wishful Wednesday

'I wish' .... I could relive one particular holiday experience over and over again, and it would be ____________!

Kelsey is back with Wishful Wednesday! I have so many memories of Christmas that it's hard to pick, but....

If I could relive one particular holiday experience over and over again, and it would be going to my grandparents house in Hunt, TX!

If I was better prepared, I would have a great little pic to put in right here, but I do not :(  I just loved going their each year!  I have memories of sitting in the back of the car with the portable tape player listening to The Judds and The Eagles!  I feel like we wore out several of those tapes over the years!  I also loved getting to see my Great grandmother, Nonny, who Joey is named after and that is also why we call my mom Nonny!  I always new I was going to get a book from my granddad even though I don't like to read...he always put thought into it hoping that one day I might crack!  I also remember one year I had asked for a hairdryer.  My grandmother ordered it and it came in the mail but in a different box, she didn't think anything of it, and that year when I opened my "hair dryer", I got frozen (thawed at that point) chicken patties....not funny at the time to me, but hilarious now!  We used to go arrowhead hunting with Bigman, and fed the deer everyday!  We always opened presents on Christmas Eve and stockings Christmas morning.  I also remember watching The Music Man each time we would go to Hunt.

I miss that house, I miss my grandad, I miss my great grandmother, and I miss the traditions we had in Hunt.  Now as a new Stout family we are making our own traditions which include driving up and down HWY 75 on Christmas, eating with Johnny's family each Christmas Eve, and more :)  I'm excited to look back on this post when Jo is older and see what she remembers best.

Merry Christmas Everyone!

Santa...Dun Dun Duuuuuu

So we went to spend time with family this past Saturday and shop for our Angel Tree kiddos.  While we were at the mall, we ran into Santa Claus at Nordstrom's of all places.  He was tucked away in a corner, and we pounced!  No line, no official cameras, just THE MAN in a chair!  Here are the pics Johnny got with our camera :)

FYI, she was not having any part of Santa :)  She is bent over balling :(  Let's try a different approach...

This was the only way we could get her to go near the man in he red suit!  There's always next year!

Chili Time :)

So this weekend we headed out to Aunt Amy and Uncle Stewie's house in Sunnyvale for some home cooked chili, and family fun :)  This is a tradition that was started a couple of years ago that has lived on!!  We missed Uncle Stewie (he was in New York for work), but loved seeing Aunt Amy, Aunt Jackie, Grandma and most of the cousins!!  Here are a few pics...

Me and my Reba buddy...Amy

Claudia, Mily, and Joey hanging out

Brandon and Mily...not quite sure what Mi is doing :)

Joey all ready to go in her new coat, hat and gloves

Week 14...26 To Go :)

So I was talking to someone the other day and they were like "I'm sure you don't have time to read all about what our baby is doing in your belly, and how it is developing because you are chasing around a little one this time!". And to that I say...of coarse I have time, and to me, that is my favorite part and what got me through Joey's pregnancy.  I love looking at Baby Center and see what is growing next!  Each Sunday night, Johnny and I take turns reading out of a book that my friend Akirb gave us.  It talks about your pregnancy week by week regarding baby development, mom nutrition, and it even gives dad tips like.....rub your wife's back today, it probably hurts :)  So long story short, I am still facinated at what the Lord is forming inside my womb.  It is amazing to me that he already knows what it will look like inside and out, and what kind of person it will become regardless of what Johnny and I do to get in the way of God's plan for SS#2 or how we help move His plan along.  Can you tell I'm all worked up and STOKED????  On with the belly pics and the news for the week.....

Here I am with Joey.  I feel like in this one you could really start to tell I was preggo!!  I loved taking this picture at the time, it was all becoming more real to me!

Here I am save week with Stout Seed # 2.  No need to convince myself this time, I definitely look and feel preggo :)

How your baby's growing (Week 14):

This week's big developments: Your baby can now squint, frown, grimace, pee, and possibly suck his thumb! Thanks to brain impulses, his facial muscles are getting a workout as his tiny features form one expression after another. His kidneys are producing urine, which he releases into the amniotic fluid around him — a process he'll keep up until birth. He can grasp, too, and if you're having an ultrasound now, you may even catch him sucking his thumb.

In other news: Your baby's stretching out. From head to bottom, he measures 3 1/2 inches — about the size of a lemon — and he weighs 1 1/2 ounces. His body's growing faster than his head, which now sits upon a more distinct neck. By the end of this week, his arms will have grown to a length that's in proportion to the rest of his body. (His legs still have some lengthening to do.) He's starting to develop an ultra-fine, downy covering of hair, called lanugo, all over his body. Your baby's liver starts making bile this week — a sign that it's doing its job right — and his spleen starts helping in the production of red blood cells. Though you can't feel his tiny punches and kicks yet, your little pugilist's hands and feet (which now measure about 1/2 inch long) are more flexible and active.

Jo Is On The Mend!

So our little peanut has been sicky for the past week!  We had her home Monday thru Friday while she was getting better!

Monday she had some clear snot and a low grade fever, we thought nothing of it, but Johnny did take off work so that the kids at Miss Holli's wouldn't get sick too. Johnny called the doc to see if we could give her anything, and they said nope...nothing for the little lady, just Tylenol for the fever.

Tuesday, same story....low grade fever, and the sniffles with an added cough.  We just kept her home gave her some Tylenol with plenty of rest.

Wednesday was the day we finally took her to the doctor.  Good thing too, she had 2 ear infections, and bronchitis...poor little girl!  The also thought her heartbeat was weird and considering her history they decided to take a chest x-ray.  Johnny said that was an adventure...they had to lay her on her tummy and hold her down...not fun!  They determined from the chest x-ray that her heart was fine, but still wanted us to come do a follow up visit the next day.

Thursday I took her back to the doc and she said she heard some wheezing in her chest and she didn't want anything to settle in her lungs becoming pneumonia so she put Jo on an inhaler in addition to the antibiotic she got the day before.  After the doc appointment, Joey spent the day with Grandma and Mily.  The girls had a blast, and Grandma said if she could afford not working she would just stay home with these lovely ladies all the time!

Friday came and Nonny got to spend the day with Joey....Nonny (my mom) loved that every time she wiped Joey's nose Joey said "thank you".  If you haven't heard Joey speak, it is just the sweetest thing, and a simple little "thank you" without prompting will just melt your heart!

Our little munchkin is doing better now, she just has a pesky lingering cough that sounds awful, but we have been assured by her doc she is no longer contagious, so Saturday we ventured out into the world to meet my family at the Galleria for some Angel Tree Shopping and hang out time!  Here's a picture of Joey trying to warm up to Santa, and one of her in her new coat and hat...this girl is ready for the winter...bring on the snow :)
