Worship Wednesday - Your Name

Nothing has the power to save us from our sins but His name.  I am so grateful to my father who pulled me out of the pit by dying on the cross.  Can you believe he did that for you too?  I hope you can believe it.  If you do, we will be partying in heaven one day together....if you don't, talk to me and I'll let you know why I believe this so wholeheartedly!!

As morning dawns and evening fades
You in- spire songs of praise
That rise from earth to touch Your heart and glorify Your Name

CHORUS
Your Name is a strong and mighty tow- er
Your Name is a shelter like no oth- er
Your Name, let the nations sing it loud- er
'Cause nothing has the pow- er to save
But Your Name

Jesus, in Your Name we pray
Come and fill our hearts today
Lord, give us strength to live for You and glorify Your Name

CHORUS
Your Name is a strong and mighty tow- er
Your Name is a shelter like no oth- er
Your Name, let the nations sing it loud- er
'Cause nothing has the pow- er to save but Your Name

INSTRUMENTAL

CHORUS
Your Name is a strong and mighty tow- er
Your Name is a shelter like no oth- er
Your Name, let the nations sing it loud- er
(1st & 2nd endings)
'Cause nothing has the pow- er to save but

(Repeat Chorus)
(3rd ending)
'Cause nothing has the pow- er to save but Your Name
(Repeat)

Worship Wednesday - We Are

I am loving this song these days, we are the light of the world people...we gotta let the light shine!!!  What are you listening to these days?

Every secret, every shame
Every fear, every pain
Live inside the dark
But that's not who we are
We are children of the day

So wake up sleeper, lift your head
We were meant for more than this
Fight the shadows conquer death
Make the most of the time we have left

We are the light of the world
We are the city on a hill
We are the light of the world
We gotta, we gotta, we gotta let the light shine

We are the light of the world
We are the city on a hill
We are the light of the world
We gotta, we gotta, we gotta let the light shine
Let the light shine, let the light shine

We are called to the spread the news
Tell the world the simple truth
Jesus came to save, there's freedom in His Name
So let his love break through

We are the light of the world
We are the city on a hill
We are the light of the world
We gotta, we gotta, we gotta let the light shine
We are the light of the world
We are the city on a hill
We are the light of the world
We gotta, we gotta, we gotta let the light shine

Worship Wednesday - Who Am I?

So Johnny and I are doing a study through the book of Exodus with our church and tonight we see Moses asking God "Who am I to lead your people out of Egypt".  Moses feels inadequate to do God's work....you see, he's flawed like the rest of us, and feels like little old Moses can't possibly do something as big as God calls him to do.  I feel that way too, even in the little things, and I find myself asking "Who am I that God would even think of using me, even think of speaking my name, even think of sending his son to die for my sins?" and the list goes on.  This song is from a band called Watermark, and since the song is from 2000, there is not a great video to be found so I am putting this cover version on...facebookers click on the original post to view the video of this simple but amazing song!

These words don't follow her version exactly, but you get the point...I hope you enjoy and are blessed knowing the who you are is who God made you to be...now go and use that for His glory!

Over time you’ve healed so much in me
And I am living proof
That although my darkest hour had come
Your light could still shine through
And though at times it’s just enough to cast
A shadow on the wall
Well, I am grateful that you shine your light on me at all

Who am I that you would love me so gently?
Who am I that you would recognize my name?
Lord, who am I that you would speak to me so softly
Conversation with the love most high
Who am I?

Well, amazing grace how sweet the sound
That saved a wretch like me
I once was lost but now am found
Was blind, but now I see
And the more I sing that sweet old song the more I understand
That I do not comprehend this love that’s coming from your hand

Who am I that you would love me so gently?
Who am I that you would recognize my name?
Lord, who am I that you would speak to me so softly
Conversation with the love most high
Who am I?

Grace, grace, God’s grace
Grace that will pardon and cleanse within
Grace, grace, God’s grace
Grace that is greater than all our sin

Who am I that you would love me so gently?
Who am I that you would recognize my name?
Lord, who am I that you would speak to me so softly
Conversation with the love most high
Who am I?

Worship Wednesday - You'll Come

So after the Wisconsin posts I had to give my fingers a break and stop the blog for a day or so :]  I'm back with an early Worship Wednesday and I'm loving this song right now!  If you don't know who Hillsong United is, get to know them!  They have some great songs, and a lot are my "favorites".  This is one of those.....If you are reading this on facebook, click on the original post to see the video :]

As you respond to us
Spirit reign flood our hearts
With holy fire again

Verse 2
We are not shaken we are not moved
We wait upon you Lord
Our Mighty deliverer my triumph and truth
I'll wait upon you Lord

Chains be broken
Lives be healed

Worship Wednesday - We Delight

This song is an oldie but a goodie!  I was reminded of it's greatness when a facebook friend posted it this past week :]  It's funny how songs can take you back to a time and place, and this one takes me back to Richardson High School riding on the bus to Disney World with my fellow cheerleaders and band friends :]  What a fun care free time! Anyway, I hope you enjoy the song and Delight in Him today!

CHORUS
We delight in the law of your Word
We delight in the Son who was perfect from birth
We delight in the day He's returning to earth
Hallelujah

We will bow our hearts because we are free
As we lift our hands to give you glory
Father of life and love and infinite worth
We're delivered by blood that flows from the tree
Draws near to You vessels of Your mercy
Before the invention of man, the glorious Trinity

REPEAT CHORUS

We will lift our eyes to the cloud and the flame
Lord, You guide our steps and restore us again
The nations of man will rejoice in the God of the wilderness

REPEAT CHORUS

INSTRUMENTAL BREAK

CHORUS 2X
Hallelujah, Oh Hallelujah

Worship Wednesday - Waiting Here For You

I came across this song the other day while listening to Pandora....I had to stop working {sorry akirb and bret} and praise the Lord...we are waiting here for him!

If faith can move the mountains
Let the mountains move
We come with expectation
Waiting here for you, I’m waiting here for you

You’re the Lord of all creation
And still you know my heart
The Author of Salvation
You’ve loved us from the start

CHORUS
Waiting here for You
With our hands lifted high in praise
And it's You we adore
Singing Alleluia

You are everything You’ve promised
Your faithfulness is true
And we're desperate for Your presence
All we need is You

CHORUS

Singing Alleluia
Alleluia, singing alleluia, alleluia

CHORUS

Waiting here for you
With our hands lifted high in praise
And it's You we adore
We're singing Alleluia

I'm singing Alleluia
Waiting here for you
With our hands lifted high in praise
And it's You we adore
Singing Alleluia
Singing Alleluia

I love the part where it says "you are everything you've promised, your faithfulness is true...and we are desperate for your presence...all we need is you!!!"

What are you singing today??

Worship Wednesday - You Move Me

What a sweet love song to our savior of a life changed!  I've felt a lot of these feelings in this song, and Jesus moved me to action...away from fears, into love, into a family, into His family and so much more!  Anywho, hope this speaks to you today!

This how it seems to me
Life is only therapy
Real expensive and
No guarantees
So I lie here on the couch
With my heart hanging out
Frozen solid with fear
Like a rock in the ground

But You move me
You give me courage I didn't know I had,
You move me
I can't go with You and stay where I am so,
You move me

Here is how love was to me
I could look and not see
Going through the emotions
Not knowing what they mean
And it scared me so much
That I just wouldn't budge
I might have stayed there forever
If not for Your touch

Oh, but You move me
Out of myself and into the fire
You move me
Burning with love and with hope and desire,
How You move me

You go whistling in the dark
Making light of it, making light of it
And I follow with my heart
Laughing all the way
Oh, 'cause You move me
You get me dancing and You make me sing,
You move me
Now I'm taking delight in every little thing
How You move me
Oh, You move me

Worship Wednesday - Made To Worship

This song is amazing!  The opening is such a wonder to think about....Before the day, before the light, before the world revolved around the sun, God on high stepped down into time, and wrote the story of His love fore everyone!!! Holler!!  Anyway, just listen and read the lyrics, you'll love it!

Before the day
Before the light
Before the world revolved around the sun
God on high
Stepped down into time
And wrote the story of His love for everyone

He has filled our hearts with wonder
So that we always remember

You and I were made to worship
You and I are called to love
You and I are forgiven and free
You and I embrace surrender
You and I choose to believe
You and I will see who we were meant to be

All we are
And all we have
Is all a gift from God that we receive
Brought to life
We open up our eyes
To see the majesty and glory of the King

He has filled our hearts with wonder
So that we always remember

You and I were made to worship
You and I are called to love
You and I are forgiven and free
You and I embrace surrender
You and I choose to believe
You and I will see who we were meant to be

And even the rocks cry out
And even the Heavens shout
At the sound of His holy name
So let every voice sing out
And let every knee bow down
He is worthy of all our praise

You and I were made to worship
You and I are called to love
You and I are forgiven and free, yeah
You and I embrace surrender
You and I choose to believe
You and I will see, you and I will see

You and I were made to worship
You and I are called to love
You and I are forgiven and free, yeah
You and I embrace surrender
You and I choose to believe
You and I will see who we were meant to be

Worship Wednesday - Ready Yourselves

Love this song, and was just reminded of it looking at a friend's mission trip announcement!  I just love it and it will be my theme song here in a few weeks...stay tuned, and enjoy!!

Lord I want to feel with Your heart
And see the world through Your eyes
I want to be Your hands and feet
I want to live a life that leads

chorus
Ready yourselves
Ready yourselves
Let us shine the light of Jesus
In the darkest night
Oh, ready yourselves
Oh, ready yourselves
May the powers of darkness tremble as our praises rise
Until the whole world hears
Lord we are calling out
Lifting up Your name for all to hear the sound
Like voices in the wilderness we're crying out
As the day draws near
We'll sing until the whole world hears

Lord let Your sleeping giant arise
Catch the demons by surprise
Holy nation sanctified
Let this be our battle cry

chorus

Whoa oh oh! Whoa oh oh! We'll sing until
The whole world hears
Whoa oh oh! Whoa oh oh! We'll sing until
The whole world hears

Want to be Your hands and feet
Want to be a life that leads
To see You set the captive free
Until the whole world hears
and I pray that they will see more of You and less of me
Lord I want my life to be the song You sing

Until the whole world hears Lord we are calling out
Lifting Your name up for all to hear the sound
Like voices in the wilderness we're crying out
As the day draws near
We'll sing until the whole world hears
Whoa oh oh! Whoa oh oh! We'll sing until
The whole world hears!
Whoa oh oh! Whoa oh oh! We'll sing until
The whole world hears!
Whoa oh oh! Whoa oh oh! We'll sing until
The whole world hears!
Whoa oh oh! Whoa oh oh! We'll sing until
The whole world hears!
Whoa oh oh! Whoa oh oh! We'll sing until
The whole world hears!

Worship Wednesday - Oh Glorious Day

It's Easter Week and I am stoked!  I mean hello....Jesus died for our sins then Rose from the dead!  Amazing....This is a great song that my friend Liz told me about, and my friend Chris reminded me of today!  Listen to the words and let them wash over you.  Enjoy...
{facebookers will have to click on the original post for video}

One day when heaven
Is filled with His praises
One day when sin was as black as could be
Jesus came forth to
Be born of a virgin
He dwelt among men, my example is He

[Chorus:]

Living He loved me
Dying He saved me
Buried He carried my sins far away
Rising He justified
Freely forever
One day He's coming
Oh, Glorious Day
Oh, Glorious Day

One day they led Him
Up calvary's mountain
One day they nailed Him
To die on a tree
Suffering anguish
Despised and rejected
Bearing our sins, my Redeemer is He

One day the grave could conceal Him no longer
One day the stone rolled away from the door
Then He arose o'er
Death He had conquered
Now is ascended
My lord evermore

[Chorus]
Oh, Glorious Day
Oh, Glorious Day

One day the trumpet will
Sound for His coming
One day the skies with His
Glories will shine
Wonderful day
My beloved was bringing
Glorious Savior this Jesus is mine

[Chorus]

Oh, Glorious Day
Oh, Glorious Day
Oh, Glorious Day
Oh, Glorious Day
Oh, Glorious Day
Oh, Glorious Day

One day the trumpet will
Sound for His coming
One day the skies with His
Glories will shine

Worship Wednesday - Our God

So I can't believe I missed a Worship Wednesday last week, and I wasn't about to miss 2 in a row, so here we go...a little late, but here none the less :]

Our God is an amazing song!  Listen and let the lyrics wash over you.  I love the part when it says "And if our God is for us, then who could ever stop us, and if our God is with us then what could stand against?".  I pray that I would believe that more and more!  I mean I believe it, if you asked me I would say I do, but do my actions line up with my speach??  I want to be a person who knows and shows that God is for me and I'm concerned with no one but him therefore I'm bold for him!  Anywho, here's the song...the lyrics are in the video :] {facebookers need to click on the original post to view the video}

So do you believe that God is for you and nothing can be against you??  Hope you have an awesome day in the Lord!!!

Worship Wednesday - He Loves Us

He loves us, and I am so grateful! Enjoy the song this week.....go ahead, close your eyes, and when you catch on if it's a new one for you, raise your hands, dance around and praise our King!!!  This song rocks!!! {facebookers click on original post to see video....believe me, you are gonna want to hear this!}

He is jealous for me, Loves like a hurricane, I am a tree,
Bending beneath the weight of his wind and mercy.
When all of a sudden, I am unaware of these afflictions eclipsed by glory,
And I realize just how beautiful You are,
And how great Your affections are for me.

And oh, how He loves us oh
Oh how He loves us,
How He loves us all

He is jealous for me, Loves like a hurricane, I am a tree,
Bending beneath the weight of his wind and mercy.
When all of a sudden, I am unaware of these afflictions eclipsed by glory,
And I realize just how beautiful You are,
And how great Your affections are for me.

And oh, how He loves us oh,
Oh how He loves us,
How He loves us all

He loves us,
Oh how He loves us,
Oh how He loves us,
Oh how He loves.

And we are His portion and He is our prize,
Drawn to redemption by the grace in His eyes,
If His grace is an ocean, we're all sinking.
And heaven meets earth like an unforeseen kiss,
And my heart turns violently inside of my chest,
I don't have time to maintain these regrets,
When I think about, the way…

That He loves us,
Oh how He loves us,
Oh how He loves us,
Oh how He loves.
Yeah, He loves us,
Oh how He loves us,
Oh how He loves us,
Oh how He loves.

Yeah, He loves us,
Oh how He loves us,
Oh how He loves us,
Oh how He loves.

Worship Wednesday - When I Finally Make it Home

I love this song..the lyrics rock and the sweet melody is amazing.  I love singing harmony as loud as possible to this in my car!  I hope you enjoy {facebookers need to click on the original post to see the video}.

I'm gonna wrap my arms around my Daddy's neck
And tell him that I've missed him

And tell him all about the man that I became
And hope that it pleased him

There's so much I want to say
There's so much I want you to know

[chorus]
When I finally make it home when I finally make it home

Then I'll gaze upon the throne of the King
Frozen in my steps

And all the questions that I swore I would ask
Words just won't come yet

So amazed at what I've seen so much more
Than this old mind can hold

[back to chorus]

And the sweetest sound these ears have yet to hear
The voices of the angels

[back to chorus]

I love the image of wrapping our arms around Jesus and telling him all about the person we've become.  I also love the part about gazing upon the throne of the King frozen in our steps.  Pretty sure I'll be frozen in awe!  I hope you enjoy :]  What are you listening to these days??

Worship Wednesday - Desert Song

Back for another Worship Wednesday here at Stouts R Us, and I just love this song!!  I was trying to find the video and all I could do was raise my hand in worship every time I clicked on a version, and I decided to go with this one for no apparent reason other than I love it :]  I found an acoustic that I love but for a first time Desert Songer I thought y'all might benefit from the original :]  {facebookers have to click on original post to see video

Verse 1:
This is my prayer in the desert
And all that's within me feels dry
This is my prayer in the hunger in me
My God is a God who provides

Verse 2:
And this is my prayer in the fire
In weakness or trial or pain
There is a faith proved
Of more worth than gold
So refine me Lord through the flames

Chorus:
And I will bring praise
I will bring praise
No weapon forged against me shall remain

I will rejoice
I will declare
God is my victory and He is here

Verse 3:
And this is my prayer in the battle
And triumph is still on it's way
I am a conqueror and co-heir with Christ
So firm on His promise I'll stand

Bridge:
All of my life
In every season
You are still God
I have a reason to sing
I have a reason to worship

Verse 4:
This is my prayer in the harvest

When favor and providence flow
I know I'm filled to be empited again
The seed I've recieved I will sow  { I love the line about being co-heirs with Christ!!!  How phenomenal is that??? If you are questioning whether or not you will be co-heirs with Christ, let me know and I'd love to chat with you about that :]}

Worship Wednesday - In Christ Alone

So you caught me, it's not Wednesday, but it's never too late to worship our Savior!  This song rocks my world, and I hope it does your's too.  The lyrics are amazing and so vivid...my favorite part is....wait, before I give it away, have a look and listen! {if you are on facebook, you have to click on the original post to view the video}

In Christ alone my hope is found,
He is my light, my strength, my song;
this Cornerstone, this solid Ground,
firm through the fiercest drought and storm.
What heights of love, what depths of peace,
when fears are stilled, when strivings cease!
My Comforter, my All in All,
here in the love of Christ I stand.

In Christ alone! who took on flesh
Fulness of God in helpless babe!
This gift of love and righteousness
Scorned by the ones he came to save:
Till on that cross as Jesus died,
The wrath of God was satisfied -
For every sin on Him was laid;
Here in the death of Christ I live.

There in the ground His body lay
Light of the world by darkness slain:
Then bursting forth in glorious Day
Up from the grave he rose again!
And as He stands in victory
Sin's curse has lost its grip on me,
For I am His and He is mine -
Bought with the precious blood of Christ.

No guilt in life, no fear in death,
This is the power of Christ in me;
From life's first cry to final breath.
Jesus commands my destiny.
No power of hell, no scheme of man,
Can ever pluck me from His hand;
Till He returns or calls me home,
Here in the power of Christ I'll stand.

That's legit right??  I love so many things about this song, but I especially love part where it says "No power of hell, no scheme of man, can ever pluck me from His hand. Till He returns or calls me home, here in the power of Christ I'll stand."!! Gives me chills every time! I also love the imagery of the 3rd verse...."There in the ground His body lay, light of the world by darkness slain. Then bursting forth in glorious day, Up from the grave he rose again!!!".  Can you imagine being there for that awesome event??  I can't wait to meet my maker, and sing praises to him all day long!!!  My heart soars with pride for our father when I think of all he did for us!!!

Worship Wednesday - Lead Me to The Cross

This song rocks!!  I love everything about, and I guess I'm on a Hillsong kick.  I love the chorus when it says "rid me of myself, I belong to you...lead me, lead me to the cross".  To rid one of oneself is a tough thing to do, and I pray that I would be able and willing to do that each day. Here's the lyrics and the video is below {facebook users have to click on the original post to see the video}.  Enjoy!!

Savior I come
Quiet my soul remember
Redemption's hill
Where Your blood was spilled
For my ransom
Everything I once held dear
I count it all as lost

Lead me to the cross
Where Your love poured out
Bring me to my knees
Lord I lay me down
Rid me of myself
I belong to You
Lead me, lead me to the cross

You were as I
Tempted and trialed
Human
The word became flesh
Bore my sin and death
Now you're risen

To your heart
To your heart
Lead me to your heart
Lead me to your heart

What are you listening to today??  What makes your heart sing??
