Joey's 1st Christmas Show :]

For those of you who don't know, Joey goes to Mother's Day Out at our church 2 days a week.  She loves it and is obviously learning something...she comes home and gets me and Johnny to line up on the wall with our hands behind our backs all the time :]  She says stuff like "do we run around like this *Joey starts running*?  No, we stand still like this *Joey freezes*!"  It's really cute, and we just love when she plays this game :]

So the other day was her 1st Christmas performance :] She spent most of the time conversing with Connor (the red head to her right), but there are a few sweet moments in this video :]

Here's a few of the pics :]

After the show was the class party back in the kiddo's classrooms.  I volunteered to be the room mom for the Green room so I got to go help set up for the party!  My mom also came to the performance and got to attend the party as well!!  There was tons of food, and the kids had a great time eating and hanging out!

As a class we got Miss Meggan and Miss Julie gift card wreaths!

Here she is with Miss Julie

.....and with Miss Meggan

...and here's her sweet friend Connor :) After seeing this picture, Johnny said he didn't want to have to beat up a 2 year old, but he just may have to :]

It was a sweet day spent with my sweet girl, and I can't wait for all the parties to come!!

Sweet Sisters :]

Joey loves to play with her sister any chance she can get and she does such a good job with Sammy! After we fed Sammy the other day Joey dragged a chair over to Sammy's high chair and started to play :]

Sweet sisters!!!  I hope these moment carry on into their teenage years :]

It's Beginning to Look A Lot Like Christmas!!!

So this is a little late, but our tree is up and our stockings are hung! Here's some pics from the day!!

Johnny and I put the tree up after the girls went to bed!

And Johnny worked those lights!!

And the tree skirt...obviously the only thing I did was take pictures :]

The finished project!  {I did help fluff up the branches :]}

The next morning we woke up Joey and the first thing she said was "is my Christmas Tree up yet?"  We went down and let her start decorating!!

Daddy helped her pic out ornaments while Sammy just layed down :]

 Cheese!!!

I love these bells!!  They were my grandmothers before she moved in with my mom and big man! They make my day when the door opens!!!

and I collect nut crackers!!  They live above our kitchen during the season!!

I just love Christmas and I love all our decorations!  I love that Joey talks about Jesus' birthday and sings Jingle Bells and Baby It's Cold Outside in the car with me!  I love that she's old enough to know about Santa!  I love that she plays with her little Veggie tales nativity, even though she tries to eat baby Jesus :] I love that she wants to give her Sunday school teacher a Christmas Card!!  Loves it!!!

6 Months Old Already!!!

Hi...I'm Sammy, and I'm a happy 6 month old :] I've been 6 months old for 5 days now, but my mommy is a little slow to the punch on these things :]

In other news, I am eating like a pro these days!  My big old tongue used to get in the way but my mommy and daddy used a tip that auntie Tonya gave them and they pushed my tongue down with the spoon...now I know how to use that thing instead of it working against me!  I like all the food they give me, but I LOVE sweet potatoes, and all the fruits!!!

I am talking a lot, and love to be the loudest one in the room!

My sister can make me laugh just about any time of the day, and her favorite way to get me to laugh is to use my tummy as a pillow :]  Joey is so silly!!!  She calls me her "Sammy pillow"!

My mommy and daddy are also trying to get me to roll over from my back to my tummy.  The thing is is that I don't really like to be on my tummy, and they haven't really found anything to entice me to roll over onto it willingly! I'm still great at rolling from my tummy to my back, and  I love rolling to my side and it's funny to watch mommy and daddy put toys in front of me to try to get me on my tummy!  I WILL DO IT WHEN I WANT TO :]

Well, here's mommy with my stats...whatever that means :]

Well, hello everyone!  Sammy pretty much summed it up, so here are the stats from her 6 month doc appointment today!  Her weight is 13.4lbs (5th %ile), her height is 24 inches (4th %ile), and her head circumference is 16 1/2 inches (31st %ile :]).  The doc said she is doing great and is growing right along on her own curve.  She staying consistent with herself and compared to her sister!  Now I don't know who is reading this and who isn't, so I'll give you the full meal deal.  When you go to the doc, the first thing you do is strip your kid down to their diaper to get them measured, weighed, and temp taken.  Then they go through all these questions...is she doing this, is she doing so and so, how much is she eating, how much is she sleeping? and the list goes on.  One of the questions our Nurse Rosa asked was if Sam was rolling from back to tummy, and it was the first time we had to say "no" on a milestone question :[  Our little girl is on her own time, and I guess that's OK. Our doc said since all her other milestones were on track that she's not worried about rolling over and that Sammy will pick it up soon enough!!  We just love her and feel so blessed to be a family of 4!  I can't wait to see what God has in store for our little family in the upcoming months as our girls grow and continue to learn!

Life Group Progressive Dinner :]

Last night was our Christmas party with our Life Group.  Instead of going out to eat like normal, we decided to have a progressive dinner!!  It was Italian themed, and started at our house :]

We were in charge of appetizers with the McAlisters!  We had Meatballs and Italian Sausage, pizza rolls and fried cheese sticks!!

We also had drinks, and I got to use both of these pitchers for the first time ever!!!  The red one is SUPER heavy without drinks in it, so it was kinda hard to maneuver with the tea, but it looked cute right??

Johnny set up the dart board in the garage so this is were the guys pretty much hung out!!

The girls broke out a game of Taboo :]

Kelli tried Ben on for size :]

...and Amanda was sporting her pre preggo jeans!!!  Get it girl!!!

Next it was off to the Davis house for the main coarse {which I managed to leave out of all the picture taking :[}  We had lasagna, salad and yummy garlic bread!!

{all the girls minus Carolynn who was feeding Isaiah at the time}

John bonded with Goose and the boys managed to find a football game on the TV :]

Off to the Pinedas for dessert!!!

There was so much!  Tiramisu, Key Lime pie, Banana Pudding, Cookies, Biscoti, and Apple Cider!!  Yummo :] I pretty much ate a little of everything!!

....and then there were 2!  Kelli and Jackie are both expecting boys in March!!!

The dinner was super fun and a great night without the kiddos!  The girls even did a recipe exchange with appetizers, main dishes and desserts! I can't wait to make some of the dishes, everything looked so yummy!!! Merry Christmas to our Life Group!  We are so blessed to have each and every one of you in our lives!

4 Years and Still Going Strong!!!

I can't believe I haven't posted about our anniversary!!!

November 19, 2006 I said "I do" to my amazing husband!  Little did I know the amazing things that God had in store for our lives.  Here we are 4 years later with 2 amazing daughters, a house, jobs that we love, family we love, an amazing Life Group, and so many other blessings!

2 years ago Johnny surprised me with a fun anniversary date day!  He got me the day off work, and we took Joey to Holli's house.  The rest of the day was spent eating out, taking a nap and going to the movies!  From that year on we have made this day a tradition but now it's my job to get my own day off :]

So this year we celebrated 4 years!  This past year has been great as far as I can remember and our shining moment was when we had Sammy!!!  She's so stinkin' cute and we are so blessed to have her {and her sister :]}.  The day started by us taking the girls to Holli's in our jammies....this has also become tradition, and we stay in our jammies all day long!!!  After that we went to Bill Smith's Cafe!  Not sure where that is?  Just drive East on 380 from 75 till you see this sign on the left....

and there you are!  This place is so yummy.  They specialize in breakfast and it is the oldest restaurant in McKinney!  5 decades of Smith's have run this cafe, and we love it!  We go every year and sit in the same booth...I'm pretty sure we have had the same waitress with the same smoker's cough each year too :]  We pull out all the stops and get whatever we want and we don't even worry about the left overs!  Here's the spread from this year.....

From there ran to Target for a kid free shopping trip which is oh so fun!!! Then we came home and put in Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince....not in the living room where we usually watch a movie, but in our bedroom where it's nice and comfy!  We both dosed in and out during the movie and practically slept through lunch :] Since it was so late when we woke up, we just went to Taco Bueno and grabbed lunch.  We came home and put HP on again to watch what we missed during nap time.  Later that day we went and picked up the girls!

It was a super fun day and a great tradition that Johnny and I plan on sticking too forever!  It's so much fun just to take a day and celebrate the union God has blessed us with!  I just love Johnny so much and am so grateful to God that he picked Johnny for me!!!!  Here's to many more years to come!!

Fashionista

So we have all seen the pictures of Joey with every single bow she owns in her hair, and she's really turning out to be our little fashionista :]

I was minding my own business feeding Sammy.  Joey was sitting behind Sammy and I was concentrating :]

Little did I know........Check out these pictures of her styling her hot pink top.....

Joey is so funny and is contantly doing things to make us laugh.....this was no exception to the rule!  She was so funny showing off her "new creation" :]

On a side note, when I was preggo with Jo, I prayed that we would have a funny kid :]  I guess I was praying in accordance to God's will on this one, because Joey's a hoot!!!
